What are the must-visit attractions in Tilburg?
There’s plenty to do in Tilburg. We’ve picked out some highlights for you:
- LocHal – this is a former Dutch Railways workshop that has been transformed into a cultural hotspot. There is a library, but you can also take a look around the various labs.
- Textielmuseum – a dynamic and creative working museum, housed in a former Tilburg textile factory. It is the only place in the world (!) where design, art, fashion, heritage and innovation in the field of textiles come together.
- De Pont – Tilburg’s premier museum of contemporary art. In a monumental old factory, you’ll find changing exhibitions by leading artists from all over the world.
- Street art – Where you used to see mainly bare facades and bricks, you now see large murals and smaller works of art on walls throughout the city. From the Spoorzone to the neighbourhoods just outside the city centre: everywhereyou’ll find surprising art on buildings that make the streetscape just that bit livelier.
- Doloris Meta Maze – this is a surreal indoor art maze. Surprising, magically artistic and bizarre! You can buy tickets for Doloris Meta Maze here.
- Koningshoeve Abbey – This abbey is a special place for gathering. Where people, nature and spirituality come together. They have been brewing their own beer here since 1884: La Trappe Trappist beer.
- Spoorpark – this is Tilburg’s city park. In this park, you’ll find green spaces, cafés and restaurants, art, a viewing tower and various sporting activities.
Which neighbourhoods are worth visiting?
Tilburg is made up of various distinct neighbourhoods, each with its own character, all well worth a visit:
- City Centre: In the city centre, you’ll find a varied mix of local, authentic shops and well-known chains.
- Dwaalgebied: The Dwaalgebied is the historic heart of the city centre. It is one of the most characteristic and oldest parts of Tilburg.
- Museum Quarter: The Museum Quarter is brimming with art and culture. Several well-known museums are located in our Museum Quarter.
- Piushaven: Piushaven is a harbour and boulevard situated between the city centre and the outskirts. Here, daily life and leisure blend seamlessly together.
- Spoorzone: This former industrial railway site is now a vibrant hotspot brimming with creativity and culture.
What are fun things to do with children in Tilburg?
- Ontdekstation – enjoy a creative day out and discover the world of technology in an accessible way. Ages 4–14.
- Dierenpark de Oliemeulen – an indoor Brabant animal park that not only offers a glimpse into the animal world, but is above alla unique experience for young and old.
- Natuurmuseum – a family museum about plant and animal life, with a nod to humanity.
- Spoorpark – A park where children can play to their heart’s content amongst the greenery, get wet in the fountains, climb a tower or enjoy an ice cream.
- Stadsbos013 – Building tree houses, mud pools and wobbly trees. The play forest challenges children to climb and scrambleto their heart’s content.

- Stadsbos 013 – comprises a number of unique nature reserves, ranging from dry heathland to marshy andwaterlogged stream valleys, rich deciduous forests and historic estates.
- Heuvelse Church – alongside its religious role, St Joseph’s Church is a venue for music and culture. Services are held daily in this ‘city church’, often accompanied by polyphonic and Gregorian chant.

Is the brandstore also a NS service point?
No, we are not an NS service point. For answers to your questions about NS, please visit this or contact NS customer service by phone 030 751 5155.
If you are at the station and have a question for NS, please use aninformation pole. You will find these information poles in front of the gates leading to the platforms.
What is the easiest way to get around in Tilburg?
Much of Tilburg city centre is easily accessible by foot. If you want to cover a longer distance or get from A to B more quickly, we recommend the following:
- Hire an OV-bike at Tilburg station
- Rent a bike from Guill van de Ven in the city centre
- Pick up a Lime e-bike. You’ll find them scattered throughout the city. You’ll need the Lime app to use these bikes.
