Tilburg is a breeding ground for creative talent. That soil is created by our vibrant makerscene, but also by the facilities in the city that contribute to an excellent production climate. And those facilities we like to highlight for you!
Kunstpodium T is more than an exhibition space. It is a platform for talent development for starting artists. From the Noordstraat in Tilburg, Kunstpodium T initiates encounters in different ways between artists in all stages of their careers. In this way young talent can learn from established names, and certainly vice versa. The slogan of Kunstpodium T is not for nothing 'art talent never stops:' here they offer artists a long learning line. Through various projects, Kunstpodium T has room for makers in all stages of their development.
With projects such as The New Vincent and Creative Capsule, children and young people experience art and Kunstpodium T in a low-threshold way from an early age. Recent graduates can join the Apprentice/Master program, and even after that, Kunstpodium T still offers various opportunities to makers.
Apprentice/Master
In the Apprentice/Master project, recently graduated artists are paired in groups with renowned artists from the field. During the project, the groups meet regularly with their 'Master' to exchange ideas and experiences. This collaboration eventually results in group exhibitions, at Kunstpodium T or one of the guest locations. The season is then festively concluded with the exhibition 'Season Highlights', where four groups exhibit without their Master, and the Jan Naaijkens Prize is awarded to the most outstanding talents. In this way, Kunstpodium T supports and motivates newly graduated artists at the start of their careers.
