I love (and hate) you, Iran is a funny and moving monologue by actor and rapper Armin Mola, partly based on his own story. He switches effortlessly between anecdotes, songs, rap lyrics, dance, intimate storytelling moments and pumping beats.
Mola plays Dariush Omidi growing up in Turnhout, in a family that was forced to trade Iran for Belgium. Searching for what it means to be Iranian, Belgian and, above all, himself, he makes a cutting love-hate declaration to a place to which he cannot return.
