Backstage Bridges brings Norwegian band Women in Blues to the Netherlands: Unique combination concert, exclusively for Tilburg!

Intimate blues evening in Reeshof

On Saturday 11 October, the Pop-Up stage Backstage in Reeshof will be transformed into an atmospheric blues stage. During this special concert evening, the Norwegian band Women in Blues and Belgian artist Guy Verlinde will share the stage. A unique experience that focuses on the power and history of women in blues. Expect an intimate seated concert full of emotion and musicality.

Norwegian top band with powerful voices

Women in Blues, fronted by Rita Engedalen and Margit Bekken, has been one of Norway's most beloved blues projects for over twenty years. Rita, winner of the 2012 European Blues Challenge, has played at major festivals such as Blues Peer and Notodden. In 2023, the band released the album My Precious Blues, featuring original songs full of emotion, strong melodies and unique vocal harmonies.

Belgian blues hero Guy Verlinde as guest

Belgian blues veteran Guy Verlinde, a regular guest at Backstage, will open the evening with the support act. Later, he will join the ladies of Women in Blues for a number of joint songs. An exclusive evening with only 120 seats – perfect for lovers of pure, compelling blues.

We have been eagerly awaiting the return of American-Austrian duo Meena Cryle and Chris Fillmore and their band to Tilburg after their dazzling show in 2019. Now we have finally managed to book these gems of slow blues for another performance.
