From 22 January to 1 February, we put the pleasure of reading aloud in the spotlight again during the National Reading Days. At the LocHal Library, we also celebrate with the National Read-Aloud Breakfast on 22 January at 9.30 a.m. and the performance ‘Rinus’ on 1 February at 3 p.m. Rail Reading on 29 January will also have an extra festive touch.

Read Aloud Breakfast

On 22 January at 9.30 a.m., the National Read Aloud Days start at the LocHal Library with a special (free) Read Aloud Breakfast for children aged 0-4. There will be a reading from the Picture Book of the Year ‘Rinus’, great colouring together and a tasty breakfast will be waiting for the children.

Performance Rinus

Together with theatre producer Marianne van Houten, children can join the safari in the performance Rinus on 1 January at 15.00 to delve into the world of little rhinoceros Rinus. The performance is for children aged 2 to 5 and is free to visit.

Spoorlezen

Every week on Wednesday afternoons at 2.30pm, the LocHal Library's Spoorleesconducteur will read to children aged 3 to 6 years old (free of charge). During the National Read Aloud Days, we will give an extra festive touch to the Rail Reading on 29 January to show/show you how much fun (reading aloud) is! Be surprised by our Spoorleesconducteur Marja. Afterwards, a tasty surprise will be waiting for the children! And (grand)parents are not forgotten either.
