Torches for peace
Every year on 24 December, Fakkels voor Vrede organises an atmospheric torchlight procession through the centre of Tilburg. Participants can purchase a torch during the event and join the march.
Every year a charity
Proceeds from this sale are donated annually to a Tilburg organisation or charity with a social mission. This year, the proceeds will go to Tira Mi Su, a local initiative in Tilburg Noord that has been working for people struggling to make ends meet financially since 2018.
The program
18.00: start of programme and sale of torches on Willemsplein. 18.00 - 19.00: presentation by Daan Taks, speech Esmah Lahlah and music by Ara. 19.00: start torchlight procession through the centre of Tilburg. 20.00: end of torchlight procession.
