Silbersee - Requiem voor de Onwerkelijkheid
Toon Tellegen wrote the text for a new requiem, a symbolic story in his signature style: accessible, playfully philosophical and enchantingly beautiful. The first-person narrator, interpreted by Hans Croiset, comes face to face with the angel of death and in fourteen steps says goodbye to “unreality” - as he sees life.
Requiem voor de Onwerkelijkheid
Corrie van Binsbergen composes the music, performed by a 45-piece amateur choir, supported by three singers from Silbersee, pianist Albert van Veenendaal and Van Binsbergen herself on guitar. From the audience, a local amateur choir sings along. The music is rich and versatile, ranging from jazz and rock to experimental sounds and bright harmonies in the style of Arvo Pärt. We dedicate this requiem with you to all who are missed. Prior to the performance, please visit the Vergeet-mij-niet editorial board in the foyer. Here is space to share memories and stories about a deceased loved one, written or recorded , so that they live on. The name of the one you miss will be given a special place during Requiem for Unreality.
