We're all alone in this together is a visual and musical performance about dating and socially desirable behavior. With fellow performer Elias De Bruyne, Kim Karssen takes you into an explosion of fantasy that seems to be reality, but which you gradually hope is fantasy after all.
Two individuals don't want to be alone, but also don't know very well how to do it together. They want to build a world, but don't know the right tools to do so. Like two clowns in a grown-up world, they try to behave within the rules of “being human,” hoping to find a soulmate that way. Until it turns out that the rules are just different for her than for him.
We're all alone in this together is a tragicomic performance about arming yourself against the dragons on the battlefield of love. But also against the ghosts in your head. Against that scary man who bikes after you after school-and against that dragon of a neighbor who says you made it all up yourself. Because if you yourself are a clown dressed up as a human, how do you even know which dragon is a human and which human is a dragon?
