Yunus Aktas - Doesn't Matter
Maybe you know Yunus Aktas as the winner of the Cameretten Festival. Or you've seen him on The Evening Show with Arjan Lubach on TV. Maybe you know him from the stage in Toomler, Amsterdam. But chances are you've never heard of him-and that's totally fine with Yunus.
No intrinsic meaning
Albert Camus argues that life has no deeper meaning and that people get lost in absurdity because they search for meaning in a world that seems to have no intrinsic meaning. Not that Yunus knows what intrinsic means, but that doesn't matter. What does matter: both Camus and Aktas see a hero as someone who accepts that meaninglessness and resists it nonetheless. And that is exactly why this debut program is here. According to Yunus, the title of this show doesn't matter. Nor does he care if you come to see it. He plays anyway. Every single night.
But honestly? We'd quite like it if you were there.
