Fifteen years after their groundbreaking debut album "Bliksemschicht", Akwasi, Leeroy and Hayzee faced a sold-out Paradiso in early 2024. The show was called legendary, the reactions were unanimously praising, and as icing on the cake, the trio received five stars from NRC. It didn't stop with that one night - it tasted like more. That's why Zwart Licht will tour the country again in December with a series of exclusive shows. 'Bliksemschicht,' the debut from Akwasi, Leeroy and producer Hayzee, has for years been considered one of the most influential Dutch-language hip-hop albums ever. With its poetic and sharp lyrics, innovative productions and raw energy, Zwart Licht lifted the genre to a new level. Fifteen years later, the album still sounds as urgent and relevant - a timeless work that has effortlessly stood the test of time. After a period in which the members each went their own way - from broadcasting boss to audio architect to in-demand DJ - they are now returning to their common core. “Together we are a unit as Voltron,” Akwasi aptly said. Demand for the anniversary show at Paradiso was overwhelming, and with good reason. Those who fell behind the net then will now get a second chance: Zwart Licht is celebrating 15 years of Bliksemschicht with a series of exclusive shows across the country.
