As soon as we step into Cocoon, we are welcomed by beautiful colors and delicious scents. We would like to capture this magic in words, so we engage in a conversation with owner Ilse.

What makes Cocoon such a nice place?

Ilse: “It's such a nice place here because we have nice stuff. It almost feels like a home already when you walk in here. We have daily fresh flowers, dried bouquets, lots of home accessories, and small furniture. We love color, mixing materials and styles to bring even more atmosphere and coziness into your home.”

What do people come to your business for?

Ilse: “People come here for good advice, customization and a bit of hospitality. Because of this, many people already know how to find their way to our store at the beautiful Wilhelmina Park.”

What makes Cocoon so typically Tilburg?

Ilse: “This building is well-known among artists because from the 1960s artist Jan Spit and his lovely wife Gerrie lived and worked here under the name ‘Studio38’. There are works of art by Jan in a number of places in the city and at our place a self-portrait of him hangs prominently in the store.”
