What makes Factorium unique?
Bram: “The great strength of Factorium is the enormous diversity of people and activities. The many thousands of participants each year come from all walks of life and have different cultural backgrounds and ages; from 4 months old to our 96-year-old saxophonist. But also people with mental or physical disabilities make Music, Theater, Dance, Urban Culture, Musical and all kinds of combinations thereof: We are here for you!”
What do people come to Factorium for?
Bram: “At Factorium you can be yourself. You develop your abilities in Music, Theatre, Dance, Urban Culture or Musical the way you want to. Our artists/teachers guide you in what you would like to make or could do. They stimulate and coach you to greater heights. As you wish and always together with others. We do this in our playgrounds, our workshops: the beautiful Music, Theater and Dance Studios. And when you want to show the people you love what you have made, what you can do by now, we have stages and halls where you can show your best side.”
What is typically Tilburg about Factorium?
Bram: “We are here for Tilburg and the people of Tilburg. Every day you can see that people are energized by making music, dancing or theater at Factorium, and realize something of themselves and their talent. They grow and develop self-respect and pride. Inspired and guided by the more than 200 professional artists and teachers who form the real working capital of Factorium, the participants in our activities become stronger and healthier, both mentally and physically! So we are building a happier and stronger Tilburg through art.”
