In 2006, under the direction of architect Frans Bedaux, all involved rolled up their sleeves to transform the building at NS-Plein into an ideal location for independent work, inspiring encounters, and crossovers between various creative disciplines.
In addition to 14 studios, NS16 has a public space for exhibitions and other cultural activities. This space is available for both internal and external use.
Since then, hundreds of public activities have taken place at NS16, ranging from festivals to solo exhibitions. As a result, NS16 is known as a stage with a wide variety of activities. The building has been owned by Ateliers Tilburg since 2019.
