Koolhoven is situated on the northern edge of Stadsbos013, close to the Reeshof neighbourhood. This diverse area is characterised by the meandering River Donge, surrounded by extensive grasslands. A footbridge over the water also leads to the distinctive old beech-lined avenue.

Exploring the woods

Accompanied by experienced guides, the children will set off this afternoon as real-life nature explorers to explore the area around Koolhoven. They will be on the lookout for blossoming trees, budding flowers and yellow dandelions. Along the Donge, there’s a chance to spot young ducklings, and in the trees, birds will be singing their spring songs. With the help of a special spring booklet, which will be handed out on the spot, the children will set off on a journey of discovery.

Participation is free, but advance registration is required.
