Hedda Gabler is back! But this time she is not the ‘rebellious’ woman we know from Henrik Ibsen's classic. In Hedda, Ibsen's iconic character returns as a young woman of color, caught between all the expectations imposed on her by her environment, family, and society.

Hedda refuses to be reduced to stereotypes. She is not a victim, not a femme fatale, not a pawn in someone else's game. Hedda wants control. Over her own life, over her story. But how do you break free from a world that has already assigned you a fixed role?

Director Abdel Daoudi gives Hedda Gabler a voice you have never heard before. Raw, uncompromising, and steeped in the dynamics of power and control. In a society that marginalises and exoticises, Hedda not only fights for freedom – she demands space. She plays with perceptions, manipulating not out of a lust for power, but out of pure necessity: to determine her own worth in a world that often sees her only as an object. She is the ultimate brat in exile – bold, sharp and unafraid to face the truth.
