J.I.D hails from East Atlanta and grew up on a diet of funk and soul records. The Grammy-nominated rapper is now one of the most exciting voices in the contemporary rap scene.
Breakthrough and recognition
Since his breakthrough in 2015 with the EP DiCaprio, on which he collaborated with EARTHGANG, he has made his mark on the hip-hop world. Spotted by J. Cole and signed to Dreamville, he immediately scored big with The Never Story (2017) and DiCaprio 2 (2018), which earned him praise from Rolling Stone, Billboard and NPR, as well as a spot in the XXL Freshman Class. With his razor-sharp flows, impressive work ethic and unparalleled technical precision, it's clear that J.I.D is nestling himself among the greats of rap history. Live, he is known as one of the most energetic performers of his generation, with shows on stages from Coachella to Lollapalooza.

Mick Jenkins – the rapper and poet from Chicago enriches hip hop with influences from jazz and soul. With breakthroughs such as The Water[s] (2014) and, more recently, The Patience (2023), he has established himself as one of the most literary voices in the rap scene. Jenkins is known for his socially conscious lyrics and laid-back vibe, which goes perfectly with fresh, soulful beats. This evening, he will open the stage for J.I.D.
