We like to exclaim how progressive we are, but when it comes to weddings, this is still quite disappointing. Weddings have changed and evolved since our parents' time. Yet there is still a lot of room for improvement.
For example, if you enter the word ‘wedding’ into Google Images, you still see mostly the same thing: pastel shades, blue suits, slim models and heteronormative images. By maintaining this image, getting married continues to have an old-fashioned aftertaste. But what if this traditional image doesn't suit you, even though you think it should?
If you would like to do it differently, it is difficult to find unless you have a good network to fall back on. But it doesn't have to be that way. You can celebrate love in a way that completely suits you. We are going to do this differently with our platform and wedding fair. We are breaking with the standard image of a bride and groom, with the idea that you have to lose weight for your wedding day, and with the idea that you have to get married in a dress and a suit. And so we can list plenty of old-fashioned traditions that really can't be done today.
Not your average weddingfair
Lobsters for Life is the wedding fair for anyone who does not want to be pigeonholed, for any bride and groom who does not feel at home having a traditional wedding. With us, it's all about them and what they want. Dare to break with traditions and choose what you love. It is love that is celebrated, and that is most important to us. Because love always conquers! So come to the only truly alternative wedding fair in the Netherlands on 13 October at the Hall of Fame in Tilburg!
