A Dark Journey to Freedom
'Night Watch' is a morbid, moving and sometimes hilarious play about the themes that matter: family, emancipation and authority. The story follows a woman trying to break away from her family to form a new, separate bond. Dark and meditative, but with a liberating power. A ritualistic journey from the end of the night to the first light of the new day. With a cast of top names including Jack Wouterse, Sarah Janneh, Bien de Moor, Sanne den Hartogh, Olaf Ait Tami and Nimuë Walraven.
After previous successful performances such as Brave New World 2.0, The Underground (2022, Louis d'Or-nominated Sanne den Hartogh) and Yara's Wedding (Dutch Theatre Festival 2023), Rik van den Bos, Guy Weizman and Roni Haver are once again creating an unorthodox and powerful performance that explores the big themes of our time with modern dance, newly composed music and text theatre.
