Phil Bee is delighted to return to Backstage in Reeshof with his band.

Phil is a familiar face at Backstage.

Phil Bee is delighted to return to Backstage in Reeshof with his band. Not only because Tilburg was his first home, but mainly because of his connection with our Pop-Up stage over the years. Phil and his bands have played four times in Reeshof, and each time it was a celebration for everyone involved. That is why they both plan to continue.
Phil has long been a familiar face at Backstage, but he gained national fame after his TV appearances on “The Voice Senior 2021”. Unknown to the mainstream audience, he blew away the jury and ultimately the voting public round after round with his soulful voice. Phil was unanimously considered the deserved winner in what the editors labelled the strongest edition of all time.

What to expect during the show

With songs such as “Tennessee Whiskey” and “When a Man Loves a Woman”, the Dutch audience was given a preview of what to expect from Phil Bee's Band during live shows. This was followed by beautiful original songs.
Phil Bee takes you back to the 60s and 70s with his own versions of covers and songs from one of his 17 albums. A touch of Joe Cocker is never far away, but it's much more than that. Raw, unpolished and supported by a super tight band of top Dutch musicians.
Much of the (Dutch Blues Award-winning) album “Live at Tivoli Vredenburg” will be played live. Phil and the band are already looking forward to it. On Saturday 20 September, you can expect a powerful show lasting a good two hours.
