Pop-up Cinema: Marcel the Shell with Shoes On
Yes! It is here again; the summer cinema. In August and early September, Pop Up Cinema ushers in the weekend at Theatre de Nieuwe Vorst with Friday night films outdoors.
They screen a matching short by a young filmmaker as an appetiser to the main film, chosen by the filmmaker himself. The summer films are a pay what you want event, no need to buy a ticket, you can just walk in on the night itself.
Op 30 augustus smelt jouw zomerhart smelten voor de mockumentary Marcel the Shell with Shoes On, een ontroerend én grappig verhaal over het vinden van verbinding in de kleinste hoekjes. De Utrechtse artist-educator Lonneke Thijs koos deze titel in combinatie met haar eigen stop-motion short Epoxy Paradise.
