In the second week of the Christmas vacations, from January 3 to 5, the third edition of SNERT will take place: the youth theater festival of Tilburg. Schouwburg & Concertzaal Tilburg and theater De Nieuwe Vorst join forces again to give young and old an unforgettable vacation full of theater.
Aimed at children, parents and grandparents, SNERT offers a wide range of performances that range from symphonic music and hip-hop to compelling stories and interactive adventures. This year there are special performances in which children discover the world around them and gain new experiences, including a traveling theater bus and workshops centered on imagination.
SNERT starts on Friday, January 3, on the Pieter Vreedeplein, with
‘Wegwezen’
; an interactive performance in a traveling theater bus. In addition, the three dancers of
Danscollectief MAN || CO
bring an ode to the shy, enthusiastic, impulsive, tactical or slightly less tactical inner explorers. In theater de Nieuwe Vorst, children can take part in doing-performance
VOUW
and in Schouwburg & Concertzaal Tilburg, people over six enjoy the musical theater performance of
Cellobende
. In the Schouwburg you step inside the colorful Heerlijke Hartenwoud, the home of the headstrong
NEEhoorn
.
The last day of SNERT concludes with a show in which the decor plays a starring role at De Nieuwe Vorst, while the Schouwburg has Casual Classics for Kids and the family show Raketje on the program. There is also a free read-aloud show for little ones about Fred the (very stubborn) deer.
In addition to the performances, children can participate in creative workshops, coloring contests, dance workshops and much more.
