Tilburg 80 years liberated

Bevrijdingsdag

October 27 marks the 80th anniversary of Tilburg's liberation. We will celebrate this with the Tilburg 80 Years Free Tour, in which a procession of historic war vehicles will pass through the city and surrounding villages. The tour will be followed by activities to commemorate 80 years of freedom.

Cobas flag

In addition to the events, you can also admire Coba Pulskens' flag in the Town Hall. Coba, a resistance heroine from Tilburg, had an important role during World War II. On 9 July 1944, she proved her courage when three Allied pilots were murdered in her house by the Sicherheitspolizei. She covered their bodies with a Dutch flag, which became a symbol of resistance and hope.
