Tilt Festival 2026

On Saturday 6 June 2026, Tilt Festival returns to Tilburg. The annual literary event brings together writers, poets and readers. This year’s guest of honour is Babs Gons, a pioneer of spoken word in the Netherlands and former Poet Laureate.
A programme packed with literary events
The Tilt Festival programme offers a variety of literary activities. The festival opens with a tribute to Babs Gons by young creators; visitors can take part in some of the most unique book clubs in the Netherlands, and discover the latest books and sources of inspiration from writers such as Jilt Jorritsma and Daphne Huisden in interviews. In addition, Tilburg’s City Poet Najiba Abdellaoui is curating her own programme. Her selection promises surprising insights and interactive experiences for visitors of all ages.
