From September 20, 2026, through February 28, 2027, De Pont Museum will showcase the latest work by the artist duo Bárbara Wagner and Benjamin de Burca. In Future of Yesterday (2026), they delve into the German Straight Edge hardcore punk scene.
Music, film, and performance come together in a raw and energetic portrait of a community centered on friendship, care, and shared ideals.
In addition to Future of Yesterday, two earlier films by Wagner & de Burca from the De Pont Museum collection will also be screened: Estás vendo coisas / You Are Seeing Things (2016), about Brazilian technobrega culture, and One Hundred Steps (2020), about the historical and cultural connections between Ireland and North Africa. Together, the three films demonstrate how music and collective expression bring people and communities together.
