Yeat, the mysterious artist born as Noah Smith, began releasing his music in 2015. For his low-fi melodies and clever lyrics, he drew inspiration from emerging rappers from his youth and the melodic quirks of Young Thug. Originally starting out under the name Lil Yeat, he shortened it to Yeat in 2018. That year, he released his first mixtape, Deep Blue Strips. From then on, his career went into overdrive. In 2021, Yeat broke through when his song “Gët Busy” went viral. The song became so popular that it caught the attention of big names such as Drake, Lil Uzi Vert and Young Thug. His rapidly growing popularity even led to the closing of a show at The Roxy, Los Angeles, due to the huge turnout of fans. Last year, he collaborated with superstar Drake on the song “IDGAF” on Drake's album For All The Dogs. With much more music to come, Yeat is well on his way to superstardom.
