Old Leij
The Oude Leij is an important wet connection route between existing nature reserves, contributing to the spread of plants, amphibians and small mammals and helping to prevent flooding.
A Leij that marks boundries
In the municipality of Goirle, the Oude Leij splits off from De Leij and then first forms the border between Goirle and Hilvarenbeek. From the Oude Beeksepad, it marks the border between Tilburg and Hilvarenbeek. A few hundred metres west of De Buunder (also known as the Grollegat), the Oude Leij flows into De Leij again.
