Swarming around 't park
It's spring in Wilhelmina Park, buds are sprouting and forget-me-nots and crocuses are everywhere. On Sunday, April 6, we will celebrate them with a special art walk in and around Wilhelmina Park. Everything on this day is about clothing. What does clothing do to you,what does a uniform say, what do you like to wear or not wear.
There are a number of window exhibitions around the Wilhelminapark with work by elementary school students of De Stappen led by photographer Anja van Eersel, special footwear led by Bakfietsjuf Marjo, writing group Theresia made texts for Poetry Posters, collages of BSO Tierentijn and collage association Plakplaats Tilburg, strolling photos and KDV Wilemijntje shows work of toddlers. The ‘Kleretruck’ (Dress up truck) of Corine will be there to dress up, the choir ‘de Kleurrijke Mama's’ will perform.
And there will be a joint artwork that day with artist Petra Jacobs ‘the Sock Heroes of Theresia’. Bring an old sock/panty/tights April 6!
With as a bouncer there will be a performance by Performancegroup ‘de Zwermers’ together with neighbors and members of ‘Tilburg Flaneert’ at the end of the afternoon. They will close the day with a special edition of Pan~//Catwalk. In this performance clothing is the starting point, together we show who we want to be and who we become in the eyes of the other.
